Mr. Right brought me home some absolutely gorgeous Indian tops from his recent trip. India has the greatest style, doesn’t it? They wear tops that are long and perfect to pair with leggings, giving me my two favorite things when it comes to fashion: a covered rear and uber comfort. Not to mention the gorgeous colors and patterns. Thank you India.
This top is my favorite. For church last week, I paired it with my awesome thrifted cowboy boots (thanks sis, who snagged these for me 5+ years ago for about $20). Typically my rule with thrifting is that I will only buy something that I can wash, but I made an exception because these boots were in great shape. Non stinky boots at $20 is the mother of all exceptions.
I’m new to the whole bootie thing, which I realize makes me REALLY late to the party. I finally decided to jump in with both feet and I must say that the ones I got (thanks in-laws) are higher than most heels I’ve been sporting since, well, I got pregnant 2+ years ago. But they’re wedges, and what men don’t realize is that wedges are like ninjas – they’re secretly so much more comfortable than heels, which means you can wear them doubly high. Wedges are my jam.
About four years ago DSW ran one of those awesome “Buy a pair of shoes and get a free purse” specials, and I snagged a purse that I carried for a year. Inside it was this tiny clutch, which was perfect for the couples wedding shower we went to last weekend. I don’t know about you, but when I carry something that was literally FREE, it makes me want to bring it up in every conversation.
“Hi there, nice to meet you. I’m Bethe, and I carry free purses.”
“DO YOU SEE MY FABULOUS CLUTCH THAT DIDN’T COST ME A SINGLE PENNY?!?!”
“HOW CAN YOU EAT THAT HORS D’OEUVRE WHEN YOU COULD BE ADMIRING MY FREE CLUTCH? SERIOUSLY, PEOPLE… GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!”
Maybe I should reign it in a little. I think I’m starting to scare people.
